Common passport issues

Passport older than 10 years is not acceptable for visa issuance. The 10 years validity is determined from the original date of issue. Later extensions of the passport are not grounds for exceptions to this rule.

Visiting more than one Schengen country?

You have to apply for the Schengen visa at the Consulate of your MAIN destination. The MAIN destination is the country where you are staying the longest time or where the main purpose of the trip is carried out.

If your intention is to travel to several Schengen countries without having a MAIN destination  and you will be staying the same amount of time in each country, you must apply for the Schengen visa at the Embassy/Consulate of the first point of entry into Schengen.

Possession of a visa does not confer an automatic right of entry and the holders of visa are requested to present proof that they fulfil the entry conditions at the external border

Appeal

Danish embassies and consulates occasionally reject visa applications. These decisions can be appealed to the Danish Immigration Service.
