Re-entry permit

Applications for re-entry permits to Denmark can be submitted to The Visa Application Centres in Dubai or Abu Dhabi

The procedure for submitting a re-entry application

If you have lost your residence card or passport with a re-entry permit during your stay outside Denmark or if you need a re-entry permit for other reasons, you must follow below steps. 


1. Your passport should be valid at least three months after the expected entry date into Denmark.
2. Download the re-entry permit application on The Danish Immigration Service's website

3. Gather documentation of loss, e.g police report if card is stolen/lost.

4. Provide documentation for your return to Denmark, i.e. flight ticket or flight reservation.

5. Receipt of payment to the mission, paid though the Webshop

6. Book an appointment with the Visa Application Centre, VFS Global

Note that there is an additional service fee to be paid at the VAC/VFS.

If the applicant is a minor, she/he needs to be present in person together with the guardian(s). 

After receiving the application the Danish Consulate General in Dubai will contact the Danish Immigration Service and request an authorisation to issue re-entry permit to Denmark. You will be informed when the Danish authorities have processed your application.
